Hmm, that's really odd - it should just present a javascript alert().

All the javascript needs a rehaul, though. Ochiba 2 will be much nicer with Ajaxy goodness.

Popups for posting are the default but you can choose a different interface in "Prefs".

And of course, you can alter this behavior for your own installations.
