How do I alter css to display menu on bottom of page dynamically?

I'm trying to edit the futallaby css and for the life of me, I can't figure out how to get it to float on the bottom of the screen instead of the top.

Can you help me out?

My users like the "All Boards" ability in your script. However, a few would like the ability to see only the sfw boards and not actually all boards.

Is there a way I can add a filter or build a "sfw boards only" that they could switch to?

Perhaps some kind of cookie could store channel subscriptions and remember that when they choose "All Boards" it only shows the ones they have subscribed to? I dunno. lol.

So I set up your script and I'm adding boards. I have to alternate in the admin between "http://mysite.com/admin" and "http://www.mysite.com/admin" otherwise I get a "Page Not Found" Error

I've never had this issue before. What do I do?

Hello again,

I decided to make a new thread as I am now in a different situation... I e-mailed my sysadmin about creating a PostregSQL account and he gave me this very vague response: "we use mysql and support phpmysql .. dedicated server, with raid and backups"

In other words, it looks like I'll have to try using mySQL.

I have no idea what to do here. Does my sysadmin have to create an account for me, or can I do that on my own?

Also, how do I actually go about *creating* a database?

I've been trying some testing locally with the root mysql account, but I keep getting this message:

Checking for database connection ... FAILED - please check connection settings ( [DB Error: extension not found] ** mysql://root:[password]@unix(/usr/local/mysql/mysql.sock)/ochiba.sql)

Very noobish questions I guess but I am a giant mySQL noob after all...

Ok, in an effort to escape my old problem, I resorted to using ochiba on another host - dreamhost! Little did I know of their mod_rewrite Issues :-/

I tried the fix you proposed here http://ochiba.x-maru.org/support/viewto … =6&p=2 but sadly it didn't work... any other ideas?

Issues with posting

Hi, I have some questions about how I can improve the posting system.
First off, how can I make the system accept posts without a name? I mean I know how to change the class in post.tmpl, but that's just the colouring of the text...
Secondly, I can't seem to be able to post without a tripcode (neither on my nor on the "sample" ochiba imageboard) - even if I click ok on that warning dialogue.... I'd also like to disable the warning dialogue altogether.
These Problems could also be worked around by inserting " " as the defaultr name/tripcode, but that would cause plenty of other problems ^^

Secondly, for some reason or another, my imageboard at http://pinkweb.org/p won't show any picture preview... also, worrying

Lastly, and probably my greatest problem - I can't seem to be able to reply to any posts, no matter what I do, my replies get bunched in the respective sub-board. Also, I would like to get rid of the entire "category" interface in the post window - how would I do that?

More than one mod tripcode

Is there any way to assign a different tripcode to each mod? This should be quite important since I want to be able to immediately revoke the mod privileges of any one mod who screws up, without locking all the other mods out until I can contact them....

Getting 404s - Odd Problem

I'm getting an odd problem with this but I think it might be some sort of configuration issue with the server.

I'm using my own server at home using WAMP 2.
Apache 2.2.11
PHP 5.2.9-1

Basically, my URL is comming up without the index.php just like this:
localhost/ochiba

if I type the index.php/PAGE for whatever page, then it works fine, otherwise
it comes up with a 404 stating that directory doesn't exist (the url then looks like localhost/ochiba/PAGE. I'm trying to figure out how to correct this but so far I haven't found anything yet. Any suggestions?

Hi,

A similar problem was discussed here: http://ochiba.x-maru.org/support/viewtopic.php?id=14, but I wasn't able to find a solid solution for my problem.

I'm trying to setup ochiba with SQLite. I created a blank database located at "~/public_html/tmp/ochiba.db". I followed the instructions on the site for setting up PEAR::DB as well as PEAR::HTML_TEMPLATE_IT.

However, every time I run install.php I get this message:

Checking for identify (/usr/bin/identify) ... OK

Checking permissions on /mnt/volume01/chris/public_html/ochiba/img ... OK

This is most likely an easy fix, but no matter how I change the sqlite://// DSN it keeps on giving me the same message.

In the process of tweaking my Ochiba installation I became keenly aware of a problem that might crop up by having every category listed in the Post New Image dialog—should I wish to set up categories that users may not wish to see, I would have to somehow affect the display of the categories in this dialog such that some were not visible by default.

As an alternative idea, I thought that it might be more practical to have a 'Post New Image' link on each category's page that was aware of said category and passed it to the dialog when it was clicked, thereby side-stepping the need to list every category. For example, the 'Tabletop Gaming' category's page would have a Post New Image link that would 'know' it was posting to the Tabletop Gaming category.

Would it be terribly difficult to accomplish this, and—if not—where should I start?

I am curious as to how to hide the 'randomly' generated code/string that is displayed after the NAME entry on the post. While it all appears to allow for ANON or UNREGISTERED posting, this code seems to follow all posters around, regardless of what name/subject/tripcode is entered into the posts. Some of my users are nervous that this could be used to trace a post. any ideas, suggestions? Is there a setting to turn this off? any help would be great. thank you.

ok so far so good. installed, cats made, DB is functional. upload is set. Problem is i cant the thumbs to show up on post. any suggestions.
